Motion design combines graphic design and animation to bring visuals to life through movement. t Make it Clear, our dedicated in-house animation team excels at crafting professional and impactful videos tailored to a diverse array of client requirements.

Video and animation are key communication methods to attract attention, engage and educate your audiences.

Introduction to video and animation

Video and animation involves animating text, images, and graphics to create dynamic and engaging content. We often support our clients with video and animation design for user interfaces, instruction videos, social media, and presentation assets to educate and engage their audiences.

What is video and animation, and why is it important?

Our video and animation services enable you to bring to life ideas, messages, and visuals in a more engaging way. This can also help your target audience digest and understand information more effectively.

The stages of video and animation

Stage 1: Kick-off and definition

We begin by first understanding your objectives for the video or animation you want to create, its purpose, audience, use and any brand guidelines.

Stage 2: Script and keyframes

The first step towards the production of the video will be developing a script which describes the dialogue, actions, and/or instructions. Your team may wish to create this or we can work in collaboration. Following script development, this stage is then concerned with establishing the visual direction and the narrative of the final output. Generally, we would provide two conceptual directions visualising the four most important frames that will define the video.

Stage 3: Storyboarding and artwork

Once the keyframes have been signed off and one concept has been selected, we then roll out the full storyboard and artwork the design ready for video production.

Stage 4: Motion design-build

Once the design is ready to go, our team use motion design software to craft the video. Combining the selected music, assets (images, AI files etc.) and voice-over to bring the video to life.

Stage 5: Handover

Once the video is finalised, we share the end output and any required assets with your team, ready for viewing by your audiences.

What’s included

First, we understand the context of the video and any requirements. From this, we create key frame concepts which enable you to select the look and feel of the video. Once the script is defined and keyframe concept selected, we create the video storyboard, which will allow you to understand the proposed flow of the video and make any refinements prior to the build. Once all of the required design assets are created, voice-over and music chosen we then build the video using motion design software ready for implementation.
