Design Ventura Website

Website user experience and user Interface design for Design Ventura, the Design Museum’s flagship learning project

Website user experience and user Interface design for Design Ventura, the Design Museum’s flagship learning project, helping students to develop design thinking, creative and business capabilities and employability skills through designing a project for the Design Museum shop.

The challenge

We were asked to develop a new website for the 2017-18 Design Ventura project, with the caveat that it should be future-proof to support subsequent years with minimal changes. The website is intended to support the full programme, encourage stakeholder participation and enable online submissions.

The process

We conducted research with key stakeholders including teachers and students, industry experts and Design Museum team. Informed by the research findings, we developed wireframes and front end designs which supports both expert and teacher accounts, competition submissions and a clear project flow.

The result

30 schools and over 1,000 students registered their interest in the programme through the website on the day of launch, increasing to over 60 within the first two weeks. The site was well received and commended for the high usability standard.
