The fundamentals of personas

Megan Cattley
Strategist

User personas enable digital design teams to concentrate on the users they are creating interfaces. A user persona is a fictional portrayal of a typical user that is utilised during the design process.

Effective personas make it easy to confront the designer’s own preconceived notions about how a user could behave. This is especially true when the user belongs to a completely different demography than the design team.

To help you implement effective user personas in your organisation, we’ve put together a complete guide on the fundamentals of user personas. This document will explain how and why user personas are used, as well as the end-to-end process and a template for creating your own.
