We’re seeking a talented and experienced Head of Research and User Experience (UX) to lead our research and UX design efforts for client projects. In this role, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of our client engagements, driving user-centred design practices, and delivering high-quality, impactful solutions that exceed client expectations. While managing a small team, the successful applicant is expected to conduct research and UX activities firsthand.

Strategic leadership: Lead the direction of research and UX design efforts, collaborating with clients to translate insights into actionable strategies and ensuring adherence to UX design standards for high-quality project delivery.
Team management and mentorship: Mentor and lead a diverse team of researchers and UX designers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning while overseeing the creation of UX deliverables aligned with client goals.
Client engagement and communication: Cultivate strong client relationships as a trusted advisor, effectively communicate research findings and design recommendations, and collaborate with project and account managers to ensure the timely delivery of exceptional work.
Industry awareness and knowledge sharing: Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices, share insights with the team and clients to drive innovation, and proactively seek opportunities to enhance processes and methodologies based on feedback and developments.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Design, Psychology, or a related field.
5 years of experience in user experience research, UX design, or a related field, with 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
Proven track record of leading successful research and UX design projects for clients, preferably within a design agency or consultancy.
Strong understanding of user-centred design principles, methodologies, and best practices.
Expertise in a variety of research methodologies and tools, such as user interviews, usability testing, journey mapping, and analytics.
Strong proficiency in Figma.
Excellent communication, presentation, and client-facing skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and concepts in a clear and compelling manner.
Strong leadership, mentorship, and team-building skills, with a passion for developing and empowering talent.
A collaborative and client-focused approach, with a commitment to delivering exceptional results and fostering long-term client relationships.
