Junior UX/UI Designer Vacancy


Salary: £28-32K

Location: Farringdon

The Company is looking for an enthusiastic and process-driven Junior UX/UI Designer to join their tight-knit, busy Farringdon-based team. The successful candidate will support the UX team, working on a wide range of tasks from user research to user interface design. This is an exciting role for an individual to gain a wide range of hands-on experience working for a variety of high profile clients. Reporting to the digital designer, there is an opportunity for the successful candidate to grow and shape their role in the future depending on their area of interest. In the current environment the office is split between home working and office based, and the successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a remote environment.


About you

  • Broad experience and ability to work across a wide range of UX tasks ranging from user research and testing through to wireframing, UI and development handover
  • Ability to demonstrate a strong understanding of UX and UI principles and best practices. A focus on accessibility is a plus
  • Proficient in Figma or other UX tools such as Sketch or Adobe UX. They currently work in Figma so good knowledge of this tool would be a plus but they can support training for a candidate with strong proficiency in other similar UX tools
  • Good knowledge of Adobe CS
  • Good analytical and research skills, demonstrating the ability to pose the right questions and find answers
  • Ability to empathise with and understand user challenges to design user-centered solutions Process-driven, you take pride in your work with excellent attention to detail
  • Highly motivated, with excellent communication skills and a can-do attitude
  • Ability to work quickly and flexibly to meet deadlines
  • Resourceful, action-oriented and capable of working independently
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with team members and work efficiently with different roles across the agency as part of a small team
  • A degree in a relevant subject area and 1-2 years of professional experience are desirable but not essential for a candidate with demonstrable knowledge and skills
  • Interest in related fields, such as art and design, psychology, anthropology, computer science etc is a plus
